There is another opening for a Patient Assistance Program volunteer at the UCSD Student Run Free Clinic in Pacific Beach. Hours are approximately 5:00PM to 9:30PM on Wednesdays. The Patient Assistance Program volunteer logs in received patient medications and transfers medications to the pharmacy, assists patients with applications for free medication programs, communicates with the office about applications and refills,reorders medications, and troubleshoots application or medication problems. The UCSD Free Clinic Project requires a continuous 12-month commitment, including school breaks and summer; one absence per quarter for good reason and advance notice is acceptable. Record of current TB status, tetanus booster, and a background check are required.
