Asian/Pacific Islander-American HIV/AIDS Awareness Day



In conjunction with the Cross Cultural Center, The Pilipino Undergraduate Society for Health will be co-hosting a day filled with presentations by distinguished speakers, panel of experts, film screenings, and important information to spread awareness on the growing presence of HIV/AIDS within the APIA community. Topics covered will include: general statistics, transmission, prevention, treatment, and the future of HIV/AIDS as it affects not just API but also the entire world population. 


The Family Health Centers of San Diego (http://www.fhcsd.org/
) will also be present to provide FREE TESTING throughout the event (1pm-4pm) in the CCC Conference Room. This will be an amazing opportunity you won't want to miss!

11:30 am - 1:00 pm: Asian/Pacific Islander-American Panel feat. Dr. Urada, Dr. Pitpitan, Dr. Dasgupta 

1:00 pm - 1:30 pm: Dr. Gustafson-Brown 

1:30 pm - 2:30 pm: UCSD Mother-Child-Adolescent HIV Program

2:30 pm - 3:00 pm: Screening "Taking Root: Our Story, Our Community", a series of short films
